Superdrug B. Makeup Review.

If you've been a cruelty free shopper in the UK for a while, you may have noticed that Superdrug's own brand beauty range called B. has been reformulated + repackaged recently. Here are my thoughts on the range!

I've been really lucky to try some of the stuff in the new range, which is all still 100% vegan and miles better formulated than before. I'm super stoked to say that I posted a video in collaboration with B. in which I created this spring-inspired makeup look pictured below. That video is up on my channel + is available to watch here if you'd like to see a tutorial of the goodies applied to the face, but this blogpost is not sponsored + as always, opinions are mine all mine :-). I just wanted to do a follow up post on my favourite picks from the range now I've tested them all out for a bit longer.

So let's start on a happy note: I would say my favourite products from the range are their brushes, pigments and their lipsticks.

BRUSHES
Their brushes have black hardware and light synthetic bristles. They are all labelled accordingly and very professional looking. I find they apply product really really well and are very soft. They also wash nicely. I have no complaints about the range at all, having mentioned them in favourites videos before. My top picks are the B. blending brush for blending the edges of eye shadow, concealer brush for setting concealer with loose powder, and their powder brush for applying any powder product over larger areas.

PIGMENTS
Okay so their pigments are STUNNING, with my favs being the bronze shade Glamoflage from the Cassie Lomas range and the green shimmer Olive from their standard range. What I particularly like is that these don't irritate my eyelids! And I have super sensitive eyes, everything seems to make my eyes stream and make my eyelids feel heavy, but these feel super lightweight and lovely. I'm obsessed. They also double up as highlighters.

LIPSTICKS
They have a nice range of Velvet Matte lippies that I'd say are more of a satin-matte finish, as well as a liquid lipstick range with some amazing shades that I've been reaching for very often recently. My favourites are hot pink Lulu and neon orange-red The Ninties (pictured at very top of this post).

Honourable mention goes to their contour sticks which I think blend really nicely and look lovely on the skin. I use the Universal shade which is more of a medium if you ask me, and they do other colours including a cooler 'light' stick for real pale lads and ladettes.

The only product I'd use differently to how I did in my video is the concealer. I think these kind of creamy concealers are best for spot concealing and for sharpening lip lines and under the brow bone, not under the eyes as I used it. This is true for all of these type of spot concealers, but if you're a fan of the Laura Mercier Secret Camoflage but want something cheaper and vegan - this may be for you!

Have you tried anything from the range?
Is their anything you've got your eye on? Lemme know!!

  1. I love the look you have created, warm and metallic and sultry. So far I have only tried one palette from this brand, which I liked, but I don't buy many palettes in general. This brand is quite reasonable and good.Best make-up lesson London, try Lina for better makeup skills.
