Ever since my vow to go as cruelty-free as possible, I've been really getting into Lush products. I had been put off before purely because of how pricey some of their stuff is. But doing some research and it's clear that the higher prices are justifiable because of how beneficial they are as a company to supporting poorer regions and being as gentle on the planet as possible, as well as raising awareness of animal testing practices (see here).
Recently I was shopping out and about on a rainy day - rain which had soaked through my battered boots with holes in the soles - and I was craving the comfort of a bath. So, obviously, I picked up a few bath bits to ease my woes.
BUTTERBALL BATH BOMB
£2.65
Bathbombs are fun in theory but I have suuuper sensitive skin which they can often irritate. This one is aimed to replenish dry, sensitive or irritated skin. It smells of cocoa butter and is really gentle and relaxing and all that good stuff.
FLOATING ISLAND BATH OIL
£2.00
This one smells incredible - a mix of sandalwood, shea butter and vanilla goodness. It melts in the bath like a little tropical island (hence the name) and is really gentle and calming. It moisturises the skin amazingly without being too heavy and oily, and is also 100% certified vegan.
GOLDEN EGG BATH BOMB MELT
£3.95
The creme de la creme of my haul: just look at this masterpiece. Besides it's beautiful gold glitteriness, it smells of toffee and cocoa butter (all Fair Trade). I was worried that this melt would be too intense for my skin, but it's also really moisturising with olive oil to nourish and replenish. Golden.
